Lucy Macready - Bio

  • Working in community safety since 2004.
  • Experience from grass roots, operational and tactical to strategic leadership to community safety
  • Qualified social researcher specialising in criminal justice.
  • Qualified MSc in Public Health
  • Applies public health rigour and thinking to consider how to upstream traditional community safety responses, focusing on the prevention of crime by considering experiences of crime as a wider determinant of health.
  • Long standing history of chairing high level strategic partnerships, tactical problem solving groups and community facing assurance meetings
  • Skilled in planning and carrying out case reviews, adjusting the methodology to suit the circumstances.
  • Trained and experienced in assessing existing services for quality and rigour and devising plans for improvement
  • Carrying out due diligence and negotiating for change.
  • Developing plans and implementing transformational change – systems and services.
  • Policy development in a range of thematic areas including modern slavery, domestic abuse, exploitation, prevent, ASB and hate crime
