Lucy Macready - Bio
- Working in community safety since 2004.
- Experience from grass roots, operational and tactical to strategic leadership to community safety
- Qualified social researcher specialising in criminal justice.
- Qualified MSc in Public Health
- Applies public health rigour and thinking to consider how to upstream traditional community safety responses, focusing on the prevention of crime by considering experiences of crime as a wider determinant of health.
- Long standing history of chairing high level strategic partnerships, tactical problem solving groups and community facing assurance meetings
- Skilled in planning and carrying out case reviews, adjusting the methodology to suit the circumstances.
- Trained and experienced in assessing existing services for quality and rigour and devising plans for improvement
- Carrying out due diligence and negotiating for change.
- Developing plans and implementing transformational change – systems and services.
- Policy development in a range of thematic areas including modern slavery, domestic abuse, exploitation, prevent, ASB and hate crime
- Stakeholder inclusions strategy
- Planning and undertaking needs assessments
- Designed prevent training programme.
- Co-wrote a landmark case review of 13 care leavers, utilising SCIE methodology - a collaborative review between children and adults safeguarding boards.
